INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS

  • Authors are requested to send their manuscript through email: pesr.eco@pu.edu.pk. Email must contain subject ‘Manuscript for Publication’. It is preferable to send manuscript through your official email account.
  • First page of manuscript must contain Manuscript Title, author’s name with their complete affiliation and email addresses. Absence of affiliation may lead to discard the submission. Utmost care should be taken while writing authorship regarding names and sequence of authors.
  • Manuscript must be submitted in English language only. All grammatical and spelling mistakes must be corrected before submitting it to PESR.
  • The text should be double spaced with 12 point font of Times New Roman. All illustrations, figures and tables must be placed at appropriate points. Manuscript must be well - structured that includes: Title, Abstract (150-200 words only), Keywords, Introduction, Literature Review, Research Design, Methodology, Results and Discussion, Conclusion and Policy Implications, References. The manuscript length should ranges from 5000 to 7000 words.
  • For References the American Psychological Association (APA) style should be strictly followed. All In-text citations must appear reference list. References should be arranged in an alphabetical order.
  • Pakistan Economic and Social Review (PESR) does not charge any processing fee for the publication of research paper.

The author/s must adhere to the 'Instructions for Authors'. These guidelines are designed to assist you in preparing your manuscript for submission. Please read them carefully before submitting your paper, as any violation may result in the desk rejecting it. The most common reasons for desk rejection of papers are listed below: -

  • The paper does not meet the journal’s aim, objectives, scope, and HEC Ethical Guidelines. 
  • The abstract does not reflect the research work and contribution.
  • Too many grammatical and spelling mistakes.
  • It is crucial to avoid using the 'Cut Paste' technique in your Literature Review. Instead, strive to produce original work that avoids rejection and contributes to the existing body of knowledge, inspiring and motivating your academic peers.
  • The references should include the latest and essential studies, which provide the most current and relevant information to support your research. This will keep you informed and up to date with the latest developments in your field.
  • Errors and omissions in references list or intext references.
  • It is essential to Follow the APA reference style in the text or reference list. This will provide a clear and consistent structure to your manuscript, guiding and supporting your readers in understanding your research.
