Suitable and relevant manuscript is sent to local as well as to foreign referees for their valuable comments. Peer review process is done by using double blind method where identity of both author(s) as well as reviewers is kept confidential in order to make assessment unbiased. Feedback from reviewers is sent back to author(s). After the successful completion of  peer review process, manuscript is sent to press for publication.

Peer Review Process of PESR

Step by Step

  1. The Editorial Board conducts a thorough and comprehensive paper assessment, considering the journal's aim, objectives, and scope to ensure the paper's suitability.
  2. The Editorial Board ensures that the author/s has diligently followed the Ethical and Formatting Guidelines and Instructions provided by HEC and the journal, a vital aspect of the Peer Review Process of PESR.
  3. The Editorial Board conducts a fair and objective review, evaluating the originality (plagiarism), quality, and contribution to the field of research.
  4. Papers are initially accepted or rejected at the desk based on criteria such as adherence to formatting guidelines, ethical standards, and the paper's alignment with the journal's scope and objectives. Papers that meet these criteria are considered for further review.
  5. The accepted paper will be submitted to reviewers for critical evaluation per HEC and the journal’s guidelines.
  6. The referees play a pivotal role in the Peer Review Process of PESR. They ultimately decide whether to accept or reject the paper, providing comments/changes (minor or significant) that can significantly impact its future.
  7. Referees' comments/suggestions/changes/recommendations are communicated to the corresponding author.
  8. The author must incorporate comments, suggestions, changes, or recommendations and resubmit the paper to the PESR and the response sheet.
  9. The Editorial Board ensures all necessary, required and feasible changes are made.
  10. The article is uploaded to the journal’s website and forwarded to production and publication.
